About Jackson
Now on death row - last day monday 29 august. Pound no. 256 - listed 11 july. Jackson is good natured, sociable fellow. He is very strong and energetic and therefore will need an experienced owner who is able to ensure that he is given regular exercise and will continue with his obedience training. Jackson spent a short time in foster care but sadly is back in the shelter looking for someone to love him and give him a chance at a better life. He loves playing catch the ball and is good at basic commands. He can shake hands, sit and also lay on the ground on command. Jackson is okay on a lead but tends to get a bit distracted with all the noise and new things around him. With a little time he will get the knack of it as he is quick to learn new things. Jackson would love nothing more than a family to settle down with and, in return, he will give you plenty of cuddles and kisses and be your best friend. Surely there is someone out there who needs a good mate. Jackson's on borrowed time, he can't stay indefinitely in the shelter and it is a hard life for a big dog in a cage; a sad sight indeed. All shelter dogs and puppies come desexed, wormed, microchipped, lifetime registered with your local council and have had their first vaccination. In addition, adult dogs will be heartworm tested and and dogs in foster care will have a booster vaccination (a small additional fee applies to dogs in foster care to cover this).
