About Mali ~ Kelpie X (On Trial 27/9/15)
Hi, my name is Mali, and I'm an 8 month old female Kelpie crossed with... well something adorable. Point is, I'm super cute and I am on the search for my new family. I am smart, have a beautiful nature and want nothing more than a loving home to call my own.
I love to learn and am eager to please. My foster mum tells me I am really smart. I enjoy my training sessions and thanks to my foster mum, I now know some basic commands including sit, stay and come. Of course I am still a puppy so I'll need more training. Perhaps we can go to puppy school where I will learn new things and meet lots of new people and other doggies. \ Training will help make me a well adjusted big dog that anyone would be proud to have in their family, and I only want to make you proud.
I'm a really sweet girl, and everybody says I'm really calm for a puppy. I'm great with bigger kids and other similar sized dogs and I would fit in to almost any family. I can sometimes be a little shy when we first meet, but after I get to know you I'm really very very loyal. Once we form a bond I will want to just be by your side. I am ok to spend some time alone though as I understand even best friends need time to themselves. If you go out I will do my best to be a good girl until you return...... and then it’s all about me again.
I love to play and one of my favourite games if fetch. I bring the ball back every single time and I could happily play all day long. It’s great exercise but mostly it makes me happy to spend time with my human friends. Perhaps we could play other games together too? I love to go for walks and I'm good on lead, I don't pull or drag my feet. I do sometimes go side to side because there is just so much to see and I don’t want you to miss any of it. I am learning to walk straight.
I'm allowed to sleep inside at my foster family’s house, and that has to be the same when I go to live with my furever family. I need to feel part of the family. I am pretty calm and learning more inside manners every day. Maybe we can snuggle up and watch TV together. Snuggling is one of my absolute favourite things. I also really love love love my toys.
I have a nice easy care coat and I won’t shed all over the house. I will need a brush now and then, because no girl wants a bad hair day, but I'm not a high maintenance girl.
So if you think I would fit will into your family and you can give me the furever home I deserve then you should call my foster mum and make a play date with me. I'll bring the kisses, and you bring the hugs.
Love, Mali.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
