About Miley (On Trial 8/3/15)~ Labrador
Meet the gorgeous Miley! Miley is a 6 yo, female, purebred Labrador retriever. Miley is very friendly towards people and loves attention, belly rubs and cuddles. She loves water! She enjoys frolicking around in the backyard while the hose is on and playing with her beloved ball, which she carries in her mouth a lot of the time for comfort.
Miley can sit when asked and wait for her food. We are currently training her to sit and stay. Her best trick is to offer to shake hands even without your asking.
She is house trained, and has never had an accident inside. She currently sleeps outside, but loves to come inside when her foster family is home. Inside time will need to be continued in her forever home.
Miley has a tendency to jump when excited, but usually settles when asked. She loves to go for walks and runs with her foster mum. She initially pulls quite hard on the lead so continued training with this would be needed. Miley is not a fan of other dogs and would therefore be suited to a home without other animals.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
