Poppy

Poppy is a 7 year old sterilised female Great Dane being rehomed with the assistance of the GDLAWA. For a senior girl she is in great shape with perfect teeth and a shiny healthy coat.

Poppy loves people and has lived with children with no problems at all. She has done obedience training some years ago and walks quite nicely on the lead. She had socialisation as a pup but for many years has had little opportunity for much socialisation. It may take a little time with slow controlled meets as she gets back in the swing of meeting new dogs. She was observed recently on lead at the park with an off lead dog nearby. Poppy was not particularly interested until she got a little closer when she showed curious playful responses before the dog was called away.

Poppy will do well with an experienced Dane owner and will enjoy getting back into a routine of daily exercise which she has lacked of late. She may be 7 years old but she’s by no means a slow girl. She’s got lots of play and bounce about her to love. As you can see from her photos, she’s an inside dog and she is not destructive.
