About King Oscar
This handsome man is available for adoption.
Oscar came to us to be put to sleep. He had an injury to his tail that required daily cleaning and his owner was very sick herself and was having to go to hospital frequently. Oscar's owner thought this was the only answer. We asked if she would like to surrender him to us and we would continue with his health care and put him up for adoption once he was fully recovered. His owner was very relieved and thanked us as this was a great weight off her shoulders and she could continue to heal herself.
Oscar's wound was a little more complicated than we expected and we noticed that he wasn't using his tail. His tail would drag along the ground and he couldn't move it himself. It was decided that we would have to amputate Oscar's tail.
Oscar now has a bob tail and is in full health. He has had blood tests and his teeth cleaned.
Oscar is a big cuddly teddy bear. He loves everyone and loves to be carried around. He doesn't seem fussed by other cats or dogs. This big boy will make a great companion for his new family.
Oscar is 10 years young. He needs to lose a little weight as he has become a little portly while staying in our care. He does love his food.
