About Milo ~ Adopted by foster family 1/5/15
Hi! My name is Milo and I'm a gentle giant 5 year old Mastiff X who loves to hang out with my humans. My foster mummy says I’m a gorgeous big sook and that I’m a big boofa who loves cuddles and tummy scratches - I’ll take tummy rubs all day long if it’s on offer! I love to play fetch in the yard, and I have lots and lots of toys that I can catch and bring back. Big toys or small it doesn’t matter as I love them all. I show my foster mummy how much I love her by putting one of my slobbery balls in her lap to ask her to play with me. I have a huge smile that goes from ear to ear, but I’m also the master of big sad puppy eyes! My black eyebrows and brindle markings on my face mean I can turn on gentle sad-eyes to get extra cuddles (but shhhh don’t tell anyone!)
Apparently I’m a bit of a goofball and I’m not that coordinated when I get excited to see you! Although I don’t jump on you, I get pretty excited and my tail wags pretty hard and fast so I might accidentally whack you with it or bump you. It’s hard to stop my body wiggle as I love to say Hi so much. I love to meet new people and I’ll make friends with anyone.
I know basic commands already like sit and stay – I’m eager to learn and I love rewards so I’m keen to learn more commands and tricks. Who says you need to be a puppy to learn new things?? \ At night time, I enjoy sleeping on a big soft foam mattress with lots of cosy blankets. I’m happy to sleep outside if you like, but if I can sleep inside then I’ll be your best friend furever – my foster mummy calls me very adaptable.
I would love a furever home with an active couple or family with older children that can play with me and take me walking. On my wish list is lots of love, cuddles, reward based training (as I love treats so much) and a big toy box full of toys. In return I will give you affection, playfulness and lots of laughs as I’m very lovable (if I say so myself!)
I will need a yard with sturdy 6 foot fencing - I’m not a jumper, however I am a big boy and I do love to run around the yard playing so I might accidentally knock over insecure fencing during play time. When I was in boarding kennels recently I loved all the big dogs there and I had a great time playing with them. Some dogs can find my size a little imposing so if you have another doggy playmate then I’d like to meet them first to make sure we are a good match.
If you would like to meet me, please contact Jo on 0427 695 104 or email jo.payne.aus@hotmail.com. \ I am in foster care in Cardiff, NSW (Central Coast).
My adoption fee is $300 and includes my desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, micro chipping and registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
