About Snoopy ~ Staffy X ~ Foster Fail 30/3/15
Hi. I'm Snoopy, and I'm a 2 year old male Staffy X. In reality I'm classed as a medium sized dog, but in attitude I'm larger than life.
I'm young and healthy and boy do I love cuddles, hugs, kisses, oh and toys, toys are great. I'm super friendly and I love absolutely everyone. I like to be involved with everything my people are doing. My foster mum calls me nosey however I prefer to think of myself as inquisitive or even perhaps a little “Snoopy”.
I didn't get to much attention from the people I used to live with, so I didn't learn all those neat things other doggies know when I was little, but I'm wickedly smart and I am now learning and catching up super fast. Training time is always fun and while I am learning I am also lapping up all the love and attention my huge heart can take.
I don't mean to blow my own trumpet again but did I mention I'm really smart? I'm learning all the basic commands, and I'm learning to not use my mouth on my skin friends. And now I have mastered the art of sitting and waiting for my dinner and I even wait to be invited inside. I've learnt really quick that it isn’t not a race to get through a door.
I love playing games, like tug-o-war and a big game of doggy wrestles where I play fair and gentle with my fur buddies. I love water from a hose or a splash in a paddle pool however if it’s too deep and I can't feel the bottom I can get a little nervous. I’m super brave though and I am working on building my water confidence.
I like a good snooze when I'm finished playing and when I am utterly pooped from all the playing I will find myself a soft bed or mat to re-energise on. Just give me a chance to rejuvenate and I'll be good to go again soon, ready for more fun.
I like the outdoors and happily spend my days playing with my foster brothers and sisters outside but must be let inside to be with my family sometimes during the day. I need to sleep inside at night; night time out side is cold and scary. I need to feel like I'm part of the family. Don't worry about your carpet though, I'll behave inside and I'm totally house-trained.
I'm great with dogs and would love a doggie sibling. Sometimes I get a little bossy with the timid ones however I’m learning to be considerate of others though and I realise not everyone is as brave as me. I don't know if I like cats or other small animals because I haven’t met any yet... but I know I love human kids. I can get a little exited and mouth sometimes, but I'm learning not to. I should probably go to a home with kids of school age or older who know how to behave with a doggy who is still learning.
So if you’re looking for a lovable larrikin and are ready to shower a new fur family member with love, cuddles, kisses and attention then look no further. I'm the one for you. Just call my PA (aka Darlene my foster mum) if you want to meet me and she will take it from there.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
