About Ella (On Trial)
Ella is one lovable girl with lots of energy! Her foster carer says she has been a delight to have and very snuggly. Ella is currently in foster care in a family environment, with children 8 years and above and multi dog household.
Ella has basic training and can SIT, STAY, SHAKE HANDS, has brilliant RECALL and FETCH a ball, knows commands NO, YES and LEAVE IT, FREE and is fully TOILET TRAINED and CRATE TRAINED. Ella is a very smart young girl who LOVES to play fetch, loves to SWIM at the beach and SWIM at the lake and run around with her foster host dogs. Ella is currently going on daily walks of 30 to 40 minutes and or a game of fetch for 20 to 30 minutes, each day which is keeping her destructive free, and settled during the day. Ella loves to follow you around the house and can get easily excited, being the young pup that she is.
Ella is a MEDIUM to HIGH energy, who requires a strong leader and dog savvy owner (First time dog owner, need not apply). She would make a great jogging buddy and keeps up on long walks, bike rides and runs.
Ella is best suited with another medium to large male dog with a similar energy level, or calm older dog or even better an ONLY dog, she doesn't have to share her humans. Ella is to young and a bit rough for smaller size dogs, but does live with a PUG x and CHIHAUHAU. There has been no issues with both foster cats and resident cats in her foster home, but this has not been properly assessed in care, and best to say NO cats at this stage.
Ella is best off with older children, as she does jump up when excited and could easily knock over a small child. Ella doesn't have a preference for a male or female owner and is happy and comfortable around both in foster care.
Ella will need ongoing training and socialisation so that she develops into a well mannered and sociable girl who I'm sure will bring many years of love to your home.
Ella requires 6ft fencing to keep her secure and could be housed with a male companion dog would be ideal, to entertain her whilst your at work. Ella does have some food aggression towards other dogs in her foster home, that her foster family are working with to correct and Ella is not a fan of sharing her ball, when she plays fetch.
Ella would be great as an AGILITY DOG, or FLY BALL dog as she LOVES balls and is very smart.
To kickstart Ella's training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ . So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Ella.
Wally's like all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they feel part of the family. This is particularly so if they are to be an only dog.
Ella is located in Green Point on the Central Coast of NSW where she lives with her foster family. We are currently on the lookout for a new foster carer for Ella as she does cope better living with just one other dog. If you are in a position to help, please email through your details.
Ella is NOT POULTRY friendly.

When enquiring about Ella, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
