About Bugs (Bunny)
Bugs is 5 month old German Shepherd x Boxer, with the biggest EARS I've ever seen on a Pup! Hence her name, Bugs Bunny. Bugs is living in a family environment with children (6 and 8), two dogs and a cat. She is fine with other dogs and cats and shows no aggression towards all, including with her food. Bugs loves soft toys and squeaky toys. She loves her humans and is eager to please. She is learning basic obedience, how to walk on a lead and inside toilet training. Bugs is happy outside during the day, and comes inside under supervision when her family is home. Bugs plays with her soft toys and on the bed when she is inside and with her foster dogs and family.
Bugs is a very intelligent pup and loves her long walks with her family, followed by her Puppy training. As a young pup, Bugs has received some professional training and whilst in foster care, she is continuing her training with her carer. She has not chewed or dug holes whilst in foster care. Bugs is a HIGH energy, large breed dog, that will suit an active family. She does tend to jump up with excitement and requires constant correction, and may be best suited to older children or adults. She will need a strong pack leader for direction and continue her Puppy Training. Bugs requires constant stimulation and Kong toys to keep her busy. This gorgeous girl meets everybody with a wagging tail and bum.
Bugs doesn't have a preference to a male or female owner, she loves both. She would make a great agility dog to someone who is interested in dog agility. Bugs has fantastic recall and enjoys going to the beach and playing fetch in the water. She will not cope with being placed in a backyard for long periods of time, and does prefer the company of her foster siblings to play and rumble with. Bugs' new adoptive home must have experience with her breed and experience with dogs in general to make her forever home successful. Bugs is available for adoption after desexing on February 5th, but a meet and greet can be arranged prior to this date.
Wally's like all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they feel part of the family. This is particularly so if they are to be an only dog.
Bugs is located on the Central Coast of NSW where she lives with her foster family.

When enquiring about Bugs, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
