Scooby

Scooby is a 2 1/2 year old sterilised black male Great Dane X (3/4 Dane, 1/4 Lab) being rehomed with the assistance of the GDLAWA. This boy is a friendly lively guy looking for a family to share his love around. When he’s been around children he’s enjoyed their company but would be probably best suited to children aged 12 and up due to his size and bouncy nature. Scooby does have mostly Great Dane traits including needing a home where he can be with his humans inside at night to sleep and when they are home. He hasn’t spent time around cats and can easily get excited so unless your have a particularly savvy cat and you're experienced with introducing them, we're not recommending a home with cats or other small animals.

Scooby would love a big yard to play in as he does entertain himself running and playing with his rope. He’d benefit from a good walk or two each day and would really love a human around a bit during the day if possible.

We’re looking to find Scooby a Dane or giant breed dog experienced home. Scooby has shown to be a strong willed boy and definitely needs a good leader to bring out the best in him. He has basic training but will need more time spent training to reach his potential. Scooby would also benefit from further socialisation. He has warmed to the dogs he's met but needs guidance so as not to get anxious or pushy. If you're prepared to put in the work, this boy will reward you 100 times over!
