About Ivy (On Trial 3/2/15)
Ivy is a 2 year old Bull Arab X girl. She may be crossed with Kelpie or perhaps even Whippet, she is just so beautifully unique it’s really hard to pinpoint her makeup. Let’s just sum her up as gorgeous.
She is a big beautiful and very smart girl with a sweet disposition and outstanding manners. Ivy sits on command, waits until she is told she can come into the house, eat her dinner, or jump up into the car. On the topic of cars, she loves the car and behaves impeccably the whole time. She sits quietly until she reaches her destination, which is preferably the beach or dog park, where she loves to play.
Ivy loves the outdoors and we believe she has spent most of her life so far outside. She is happy to romp and play with other dogs, follow you around the garden, play with the kids or even the grumpy old cat. She is always so gentle and affectionate. Ivy truly has a beautiful temperament.
While she is happy outdoors she does love to come inside and waits patiently to be invited in. She sits calmly while indoor, she seems to sense there is no rough housing and instead looks for cuddles and affection. She is super intuitive and just seems to know when it is time to be calm, relaxed and gentle.
Ivy may appear a little shy on first approach but that passes very quickly and she soon shows that she is loving, sweet, very playful and full of life! Ivy will make a very loyal and loving companion.
Her ideal home would be with a loving family who will shower her with cuddles and take her on adventures to the park and the beach. If you are away from home during the day then she would love a doggie friend to spend her time with. She is a big girl so to keep her safe good fencing is a must.
Ivy is ready to find her furever home. This girl deserves love and a family to call her own.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
