Murphy *On Trial in His New Home*

*MURPHY IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Meet Murphy!! He’s after a loving forever home where he’s allowed inside and hopefully with another fun-loving canine companion if you’re away for much of the day.

Recently surrendered to us through no fault of his own Murphy is a friendly, bouncy puppy who just adores people and laps up all the cuddles and affection he can get - he’s one of those happy pups whose tail never stops wagging!

Murphy’s a busy young boy who’d be perfect for an active, experienced Beagle owner. He enjoys getting out and about on a lead, sniffing what the world has on offer. And although he has good recall in his own yard you’d need to be prepared to have him on-lead whenever he’s outside these boundaries as it’s hard to get a Beagle’s attention once they’ve picked up a scent and they’re off and running. Clever Murphy will 'sit' and ‘drop’ for Schmackos though beware while Beagles are alert, respond well to food-reward training and are eager to please, they can be diggers and/or chewers if bored or distracted.

Loveable Murphy is very playful with other dogs so a doggie friend with similar energy levels would suit him best. He loves to play with toys and especially likes a game of tug-o-war. He reckons children are fun though due to his high-energy levels older children would be better as he may accidentally knock over a toddler in his playful exuberance. Murphy does get excited and jumps up a bit when he first sees you though he soon settles and a firm “down” certainly helps.

Murphy is toilet trained and sleeps inside at night. He enjoys a snuggle on the couch with you while you watch tv or he’ll hop on his rug on the floor if you ask him to and then stare lovingly at you with his gorgeous Beagle eyes. A good-sized, secure yard, daily walks, bones to chew on and toys to keep him stimulated will make Murphy very happy indeed!
