About Indi (Trial 15/2/15) Mastiff x Staffy (low maint)
Hi, my name is Indi and I'm a 2 year old mastiff x staffy. While I'm not a puppy any more, I still have loads of energy and like to play with my foster friends. I'm a beautiful loving girl with a heart of gold, and I am bound to love you if you give me a chance! I have a gorgeous honey brindle coat, some say I look just like a tiger RAAAAW hehe.
Because of my breed I am pretty big, but don't worry, that won’t stop me from jumping up onto your lap for smoochie time every chance I get. I am however very well behaved and quickly learning I have to be asked for cuddles... so ask already.
I love people and I'm so super gentle and sweet. In my previous home there was this super cute baby and we were best friends, but I knew I was bigger than her so when she pulled my tail or played with my lips I didn’t even react. I loved having a buddy to play with and I think I would be best in a family with children or another friendly dog for me to love. I’ve never met a dog I haven't loved. Isn’t having a four legged friend just the best?
I'm not big on squeaky toys, but I have noticed that people don’t find the constant squeaking much fun ether. I do love to swim though. It’s so much fun going for a relaxing paddle in the river, cooling down under the hose or in a pool on a hot day don't you think. Maybe we can go for swims when I live with you?
Now I don’t mean to brag, but I'm really smart. I sit, stay, shake and I'm working on coming when called. I'm also fully house trained and travel well in the car so we can go on adventures together. I'm pretty good on lead but this world is so exciting and fun sometimes I get distracted and sniff around. With a bit of time and some yummy treats i’ll learn to stay close. Maybe we could take some training classes together? This will help us form a great bond and I would get to play with some other doggies too.
My ideal new home would be somewhere I will be loved unconditionally. As a part of the family I would want to be allowed inside to relax and sleep. I would prefer not to be left alone very often, so would love to go somewhere with another doggie friend or someone who is home alot. I can jump if there is something to see that's exciting over the fence so I need average to high fences to keep me safe and secure.
I have sooo much love to give now that I know there are good people in this world and that life can be wonderful. While there are lots of things I love, there are a few things I'm not fond of, like loud noises or big sticks, but I'm learning to be more brave and with a gentle touch and a little time I promise I’ll get better.
So if you think you can offer the perfect home for the perfect girl, and will love me for the rest of my whole life, even where my stripes turn grey, I’d love to meet you. And remember it’s Indi, the sweet little tiger girl with a huge heart.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
