About Pearl ~ Koolie x
"NEW YEAR, NEW HOME! Pay only half of my adoption fee if you adopt me during December and January!"
Pearl is a beautiful 12 month old Australian Koolie x. Play, play and more play – that’s what Pearl is best at! Most people who meet Pearl don’t realise it, but she was born deaf. Her lack of hearing doesn't slow her down one bit.
Pearl is very pretty girl with her soft white coat and one eye which is half blue/half brown. She is as sweet as she is pretty. She has an affectionate nature and gets along beautifully with absolutely everyone, be it a cat, dog, child or adult!
Pearl would love a securely fenced home where she has lots of play and exercise, preferably with another dog for company. Being of working breed parentage, she is very intelligent, responsive to training and healthy.
Pearl would love to be a part of an active family. She needs a home committed to continuing her training, and the time to give her regular exercise and affection. This little princess will also appreciate an indoor/outdoor lifestyle.

Deaf dogs lead normal lives except it's recommended they not be allowed off lead. They are trained using hand signals. More information about deaf dogs http://www.deafdogs.org/training/
If you like to go for a daily walk or run and could provide Pearl with a loving and secure home for the rest of her life, please phone her foster carer, Margaret on 0450 225 911. Pearl is in foster care in Thornton, NSW (20 minutes north of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Pearl's adoption fee is $400 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
