Meet the handsome Rupert! He is a 5 yr old Bengal who is looking for a home with someone who will understand his breed specific needs. He is an affectionate boy once he has settled in and built up the appropriate amount of trust in you. He is quite the character!! Rupert doesn't like change and has needed a little extra time finding his feet since coming into foster care but he is now coming along very nicely. He is a indoor cat that gets to go outside for a walk on his harness. He enjoys getting a brushed and having a chat.
Rupert is new in foster care…. so keep an eye out for more information and photos coming soon!
Rupert is $75 to adopt and is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated (F4) & wormed.
If you'd like to meet Rupert, please email our Adoption Coordinator on adopt@nqar.org.au
----------------------------------------------------------
Bengals are often considered quite 'naughty' and can be a handful as they are unlike your average domestic house cat. They are not for the inexperienced or nervous cat owner!
The Bengal is also very intelligent for a cat and needs lots of things to keep that brain occupied, lots of interactive play with toys and if you’re out a lot, another cat is often a great playmate. Bengals are very vocal and loud – they will always tell you when they want something such as food or the litter box to be cleaned out. The Bengal meow is not easily ignored!
Although Bengals can be naughty and loud, they are also great fun and love to play with their humans. They are affectionate and it’s not unusual for them to form a great loyalty to a single member of the household. Their intelligence means they are easy to train and many react well to clicker training. It’s not uncommon for Bengal owners to train their cats to go for a walk on a harness and leash. They love water and many will drink straight from the tap. If you want an active, affectionate, naughty cat who will make you smile and even laugh every single day then a Bengal is for you!
