Meet the big and beautiful girl Angel...

Angel is a very beautiful girl that is looking for the right loving home to spend her life in, one where she will be loved and spoilt like she deserves.

Angel is a Siberian Husky that has been left in a backyard all of her life, fed cheap dog food and hardly ever exercised... as a result of this type of life she came into our care carrying an extra 20kg of weight which has left her feeling very lethargic and unhappy. You can see by some of her attached photos just how heavy she was!

Since being in our care, Angel has lost some weight and is now starting to understand what a good life is all about. She is so much happier now!! She is really enjoying her small but regular daily walks and spending time with her foster family... as a part of the family, not a lawn ornament!

Angel LOVES other dogs and would benefit going in to a new home with another friendly and laid back pooch to keep her company. She is NOT good with cats however and is best in a home without them.

Experience with the breed would also be an advantage.

Siberian Huskies are a very independent dog, this does not mean they like to be left alone though. Siberians crave human attention and touch, they enjoy making their own decisions and this is where their independence (and stubbornness ) comes from. The more time you spend with Angel, the happier she will be.

While Angel is losing the rest of her extra weight she will need small but regular walks and a low calorie/premium diet but once she is back to her healthy weight and healthy again she will need lots of exercise everyday. Huskies are extremely active dogs and instinctually they love to run! If you want a husky you need to be willing to provide a high level of activity to keep him/her happy and healthy. Regular jogging, walking and even swimming are all great daily activities. It is important to note that exercise for a husky is not just about the physical requirements but also their mental requirements. Huskies are extremely intelligent dogs and love to be challenged.
