About Mondo
Mondo is a very big lad with an even bigger heart. He has an extremely gentle temperament and is a very handsome boy, with eyes full of soul. He came from a home with a male owner but seems to love everyone. He is great with other dogs, he loves kids and he loves being part of a family. Mondo is an inside dog, he doesn't want to be left out of family interactions,he want to be part of what you do. Mondo has previously lived with children and is great with them.
Mondo is current living with 7 other dogs (male and female, young and old) and is good with all of them. However, his main interest is people. He would fit well in any family that are comfortable with big dogs. Mondo can play with pups like a mum, he is gentle with them even though he could easily sit on them and squish them!!! He is respectful to older dogs and if anything, verges on being submissive. He can be a little intimidated by dogs that act dominantly towards him and will rush to his carer's side for protection :)
Mondo is not an escape artist and only barks to let you know someone is at the door or to tell you he is ready to come back in from his toilet break. He is not destructive and can be left inside when you are out if needed without anything being out of place on your return. Mondo would be happy in a home with other dogs or without other dogs as long as he was a huge part of the family. He wants to be with you. He wants to put his big head on your lap and love you. He is the sweetest soul ever and is the perfect dog for someone who wants real companionship.
Mondo is larger than a full ridgeback but he has a perfect ridge. We were told he was ridgeback x Rottweiler by his previous owner, but he looks ridgeback x Anatolian Shepherd. He is ridgeback colour but has a bit longer coat. He is a typical big gentle giant who's family would be the world to him.

Please contact Cathy via email and provide some indication of the type of home/family you could provide Mondo. Email will ensure a quicker response. When Wally's looks at suitable homes for our dogs we want to know a bit about the kind of home/family life they would have with you. We want our adoptions to be successful and to be in the best interests of both you and the dog. We like to know about your situation. For example, other pets, children, renting or own home, opportunities for socialisation/exercise, how often someone is home. In Mondo's case we would like to know that you have experience and moreso, are confident with large breeds. Mondo is a very gentle boy but is big and needs an owner that is confident walking etc with a big dog.
