Axel ..... acd x - dog, cat & bird friendly

Hello my name is Axel I am a 17 month Australian Cattle Dog x and I have had a pretty rough start to my life. I came into foster care as an extremely timid and scared boy. My old owner did not treat me very well and I was very scared of humans. I used to hide and shake when anyone approached me and I wanted to be invisible, but my life changed when I met my new foster mum. She has spent lots of time with me teaching me that human hands don't hurt.
She has also taught me lots of tricks. I know how to sit, shake and go to my bed. I also have great recall and I am also toilet trained.

I have three foster siblings that I love to bits. In fact I love all dogs, I love to play, fetch balls and sun bake! I feel most comfortable when I have another dog with me so I willl be best suited to a family who already have a dog. I also like cats and birds and I won't hurt them.

My foster mum has helped me start to trust again. I even wag my tail now and it feels so good. I walk really well on lead but prefer not going on walks near other humans as i still get a bit scared that they will hurt me. I also don't like loud noises or shouting.

I eat really slowly savouring every biscuit I eat. I love treats u can teach me lots using them. I have come along way with my foster mum and dad but I still do some naughty things just like any other puppy. I love to chew pegs and give me a chance I will sit on a lounge chair. My bonus is Im quiet I don't bark and I love to be with you inside but I will stay outside in my house (kennel) if I am told to .

I would really like an owner who has another dog and has lots of patience and love to give, to get to know me and understand I have to trust you before you get to see what a lovely friend I can be.

I promise I will be your best friend if you give me time to get to know you. I really am a great pup and can't wait to find a safe home where I can be loved forever.
