Ruby (On Trial 27/2/14) ~ gorgeous Ridgeback

Ruby – 1½ year old Female Ridgeback x. Ruby is a very healthy, reasonably large sized dog (35kg) with a big personality. She is fully house trained and sleeps indoors on a matt in our bedroom. She is good with teenage kids and visitors but gets somewhat excited and can jump up at times.

Ruby knows sit, drop and is working on stay. She sits and waits for her food but needs reminding. \ She walks without pulling using a gentle leader and is fine in the car. Fireworks and storms do not seem to bother her. She is not jumper or an escape artist and is happy to spend her time in the yard while you’re at work. She loves squeaky toys and pigs ears and food aggression has not been an issue.

Ruby is out of the chewing stage and although she at times scratches around in the yard, she is not an active digger. For the most part, she is quiet but has a very big bark and will let you know when something is going on. She likes to run and tumble with another dog and would be a good companion for another dog but would also be alright being an only dog in the house. Ruby is fine with our cat.

She has a short coat which doesn’t drop a lot of hair and is easy to maintain. Ruby needs plenty of indoor time with her people.
