About Tait - mr personality
Special Adoption Case - Medical Case.
Introducing Tait (D086) the 4 year 10 month old male Fox Terrier. Tait is one happy and cheeky boy with loads of personality and love to give. Tait is in foster care with two small dogs, a cat and young children. He has developed a strong bond with his human foster carers, but appears to be oblivious to his canine and feline friends.
Tait has some special considerations due to a medical condition that has been further investigated by vets. Tait has muscle tremors, reduced co-ordination and some balance issues (only present when trying to urinate when cocking his leg). Medical advice is that Tait is likely to have had the condition mild cerebellar hypoplasia from birth. Whilst Tait has this condition he is an absolute delight and once you meet him you will know what we mean.
We are looking for a home where Tait is ideally an only pet as he loves to soak up the attention of his human friends. He is an active boy and loves to go for a jog with his foster carer each day. He also has a love for water, if the sprinkler or tap is on then he is in there all paws!!
Tait is not house trained - work in progress with this area. He has shown that he is a smart boy that can be trained. Quickly learnt how to con extra treats from vet staff.
Tait's adoption fee has been reduced due to his medical condition. He is $200 to adopt which will help to cover some of the veterinary treatment for de-sexing, micro-chipping, 1st vaccination, worm and flea treatment. (It will also cover the costs of the remainder of the 2014-15 council registration if he continues to reside in the HRCC council area.)

Medical notes
Tait has muscle tremors over his whole body as well as a head tremor. He is a bright and happy dog who is able to walk normally but hesitates when attempting to jump up. These type of signs are usually related to abnormalities within the central nervous system.
It is impossible to say what has caused the tremors but we are suspicious that this may be a problem he has had since birth (a congenital problem) but this assumption cannot be proven and is not supported by the previous owner’s comments (never seen him shake before the ranger came to pick him up).
Tait's foster care reports that his shakes / tremors are only really noticeable when excited or nervous.
