About Missy
-NO CATS
-SINGLE DOG HOME
Hi my name is Missy and I am not a pure bred Stafford but Jan & Linda met me when they picked up Diesel from the Lost Dogs Home and couldn't resist taking me too as I am such a gorgeous girl. \ I have a reputation here for being a gentle laid back soul and don't even need walking much as after about 10 minutes or so I plonk myself down and wait for the return journey by car! I do love chasing balls though so can move when I want to.
I am very good in my run and am not at all destructive, just sit there quietly even when there is lots of activity around. Linda is not convinced I am 10 either like SRV were told and thinks I am younger.
I’ve had a rough life so far and been used as a puppy machine so am thrilled to be here although the icing on the cake would have to be to finally get out of a run and into my own forever home where I can be in the house with my family and get all the love and attention I missed out on in my early years, when my only value was in how many puppies could be bred from me.
I was assessed by Trish Harris of FourPaws K9 Dog Training when I first arrived who noted that I have had some basic obedience training in the past and will sit and drop on command. However I have had very little socialisation and it is really helping me being at SRV with the other dogs.
I need to be the only dog as I haven't had much in my life and sometimes get a little possessive over food and toys. I am a clever girl and have also worked out how to lift the latch on my pen to get out at walk time so am a bit of a character (albiet a rather chunky one!)
I would ideally suit a home with an older active person or family who will spend lots of time teaching me what this thing love is all about as haven't had much of it up until now.

Adoption details
If you think you can offer me a forever home please go to
http://www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au/index.php/adoption-forms-6
and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan: jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every 2-3 weeks to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
