About Miki (Trial 14/2/15) Malamute x Husky pup
Introducing Miki, a stunning 10 week old Alaskan Malamute x Husky puppy. Miki has so much love to give and she loves her cuddles. She looks at you with her big dark eyes and tilts her head which turns your heart to mush! Miki has huge puppy radar ears and a puppy smile that is contagious to those watching her play. She has lots of energy and loves nothing more than being a typical puppy playing with an endless supply of squeaky toys/balls or chasing her tail trying to catch it.
Miki is currently in foster care with 3 children aged 3, 6 and 10 years - she loves playing with the kids and snuggling up with them afterwards for a nap. She is also in foster care with 3 friendly dogs, cats, birds and a rabbit. She is a very happy and friendly pup who loves playing with her doggy friends. She is gentle and curious about the pocket pets - she has shown no signs of chasing or being dominant towards any of the animals.
Miki loves to travel in the car, and she's very friendly when meeting new people. She's just learning to walk on a lead around the yard as she’s too little to explore the big outside world yet. Once she gets older she would love to join you on family outings. As Miki is only a baby she still has her L plates on in the toilet training department but is picking up what to do very quickly. Miki is eager to learn and is learning to “sit” on command and “wait” until she has been given the word to “go” eat her dinner. Like all puppies Miki will benefit from further training with a dedicated owner or trainer.
Miki would suit a family who are active and has a lot of time to spend to continue her socialisation as she grows older. Miki is best suited to a family who is experienced with arctic breeds and their training, ongoing socialisation and grooming requirements. Miki would love the companionship of another friendly playful dog or someone who is home a lot if there is no other dog to play with. \ She is very social and too young to be left alone for long periods of time.
Miki is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside when her family is home. Dogs and puppies enjoy being part of the family and get comfort from being inside with their humans.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
