Hi I'm Gizmo. I'm a 18 month old Cornish Rex. I love treats, being close to my foster family, and chasing Moss (my cat buddy) around the house.
I was surrendered due to toileting issues, which can be managed with a few simple tips and a high quality diet.
I can get pretty stressed in a busy household, so I'd be best suited to a home without many pets and only gentle kids.
If you can provide me with the right environment and health care, I'll reward you with endless snuggles and entertainment!

Gizmo is desexed, vaccinated and up to date with flea & worm treatment.
Gizmo has not been adopted prior to this as we discovered his dental health was worse than initally thought. He has been on anti-biotics to fight the infection that had developed in his gums and had a proper teeth clean at the vets. He will need ongoing dental care from his new owner, to avoid ending in this situation again. He will need plenty of uncooked bones, dental treats and regular teeth cleaning.
Adoption details
If you wish to adopt Gizmo, the standard adoption process applies:
* Applicant is to submit an application form for review by Geelong Animal Rescue (GAR) along with any questions you may have.
* GAR makes an assessment and invites successful applicants to continue with the process, and unsuccessful applicants with a reason why they are not suitable for this particular animal.
* A Meet and Greet is organised at a convenient time for both foster carer and potential new owners.
* If suitable, an adoption agreement will be signed and date of pick up is arranged.
* Payment of adoption fee is to be made either prior to collection, or on the day of collection. The adoption fee must be paid in cash or direct debit prior to collection can be arranged.
* The new owner has a 2 week trial period where they can return the animal if they are found to be an unsuitable match.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
The rescue group is no longer taking adoption applications for this pet.
