About Sammie ~ On Trial 30/1/15
Hi I’m Sammie, and I’d love to meet you! I am a very pretty black and white cattle dog X puppy with heaps of love to give. I love playing with my sister Indie and together we zoom around the house and yard. I am very curious and love having a good explore around to see what new things there are to see.
I have some favourite toys that I like to play with, especially my Kong which always has treats in it. I also like playing with my teddies and will cuddle up with them when I need a rest. Unlike my sister I don’t play much in the water, it’s too cold on my little paws. However, I do like bath time as the water is warm and I enjoy being toweled and cuddled dry.
I love treats and all food really – if you drop anything on the ground I’m happy to hoover it up (I like to help with the cleaning!) I am a good sleeper, most mornings my sister wakes me up, but I prefer to sleep in. When my foster carers go out I sleep, but when they come home I get all excited, especially when they bring me special treats from the shops.
I'm in foster care with multiple dogs and I love them all. I give them all licks and try to get them to play. I also love cats and I'm very gentle with them. If they swat me I will understand that they need some space.
I am an inside puppy and so I need to be allowed inside when my family is home – I must sleep inside at night even when I’m older.
I would best suit a furever home with another friendly playful dog or someone who is home a lot. I am very social and too young to be left alone for long periods of time. I would love to go to puppy-training classes when I’m a little older as my foster mum says they will give me the best start in life.
My sister Indie is available for adoption.
If you would like to meet me, please contact my foster mum Deanne on 0414 419 432 or email Deanne.82@hotmail.com. I am in foster care near Wyong, NSW (Central Coast) and am not available for adoption interstate.
My adoption fee is $450 and includes my desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and micro chipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
