On Hold
About Harley is checking out his new home
Harley eats well and has no house training issues. He's getting along well with the other dogs in his foster home.
Harley is good with dogs of all sizes - and we do mean all sizes! Harley is currently living happily with 2 Chihuahuas (his teddy is bigger than they are).
Harley will bring his bowl to you when its dinnertime. He is an aspiring assistant chef, and will happily work with you in the kitchen. Perhaps he's just an aspiring supervisor, because he will oversee any activities you undertake.
He sleeps happily during the night, and walks well on the lead (unless it's raining when he wants to go home). He greets you when you come home with great enthusiasm.
He comes desexed, microchipped, wormed and with his teeth cleaned if required. He has been heartworm tested and is on heartworm preventative. He comes with a collar, a lead and a muzzle as well as one heartworm monthly treatment.
Greyhounds are calm, gentle friendly dogs. They do not need long walks and are happy with a twenty minute walk once or twice a day.
They can sleep for up to 20 hours per day.
Greyhounds need to remain on lead at all times in public areas, and should only be allowed off-lead in fenced areas. They need to be muzzled in public until they have passed their Greenhounds assessment which gives them an exemption from muzzling.
They are very susceptible to weather, and will need shelter from the elements. During winter they will need a warm coat. They have little padding on their bones and will need a comfy bed all year around.
