About Deacon ~ On Trial 15/2/15
Hello my name is Deacon and I’m a 9 week old kelpie x cattle puppy. I love being outside running around playing with my toys as well as my foster human sisters. They get me to chase them around and run after toys that they throw for me which I enjoy a lot! I am still getting the hang of taking it back to them but I will get there.
I love to stalk my brother and sisters when they least expect it I pounce on them to surprise them and then we rough and tumble around the yard. I enjoy snuggles with my humans too! I like to sit with my foster mum when she is outside watching keeping an eye on us to make sure we don’t get into mischief. I will sit at her feet while she is hanging the washing out.
I sleep on a doggie bed with my siblings but if they wiggle too much or gets to warm I stretch out on my tummy on the floorboards to cool down. I like having the choice on nice days to be outside or inside I mainly come inside to rest.
I am getting the hang of toilet training as I am only little I still have accidents but not as many as I used to. I’m very proud of myself as I’m learning good manners.
I am an inside puppy and so I need to be allowed inside when my family is home – I must sleep inside at night even when I’m older.
My foster mum says I would best suit a furever home with another friendly playful dog or someone who is home a lot. \ I am very social and too young to be left alone for long periods of time. \ I would love to go to puppy-training classes when I’m a little older as my foster mum says they will give me the best start in life.
My sisters and brothers (there are 10 of them!) are also available for adoption.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
