About Goldy
Goldy is too anxious when alone and he needs a dog playmate. We believe he would be happier with a medium sized playful dog or even a placid larger dog that enjoys a romp now and again. He would not suit a large boisterous dog.
Goldy is a mixed breed, setter x dachshund. He has the body of a dashie and the brain of a setter so is looking for a home with someone that understands his needs . He is only young and still learning new things every day, therefore we would like his new owners to be willing to help Goldy with further training. He finds everything in life very exciting and will need lots of patience, love and guidance. Goldy is quite energetic, very agile and loves to go for long walks although he still needs more lead training. Goldy LOVES to be around people and for this reason we believe he would benefit the most from being in a home environment where there is usually someone around for most of the day. He is good with other medium sized dogs that enjoy roughhouse play, has lived with a bossy cat that kept him in his place and is fine with older children. He is unsure of his boundaries but learns quickly therefore his new owners may wish to follow the training programme that our behaviourist has put in place for Goldy.
