About Zinc ~ On Trial 24/1/15
My name is Zinc, I'm a 12 week Ridgeback X puppy and my foster mummy tells me I'm one seriously chilled out dude! I'm all leg so I amble around the house playing, and sometimes I trip over my long legs as I'm a bit of a clutz. My foster mummy tells me it just makes me more loveable. I love kids and humans of all sizes.. if you sit or lay on the floor with me I will happily cover you with kisses and then fall asleep on you.
I'm in foster care with two adult dogs and I love them to pieces...I try to lick my big foster brothers face but he's so big that he just moves his face so I can't reach..I think this is the best game ever! I absolutely adore playing with all my toys - soft toys, rope toys, balls - you name it and I will love it. I'm very cruisey in that way and my foster mummy tells me that I'm easily entertained and that I'm low maintenance just like men!
I have 5 cats as friends and I am very gentle with them. I know not to chase them as one of the cats swatted me the other day which scared me! I learnt very fast that the cats are boss of the house!
I love to sleep as it's very tiring being a puppy after playing, I love fleecy donut beds and will curl myself up into a tight little ball to jam myself in. If I hear my foster mummy doing chores around the house, I will get up and follow her around to make sure she's doing them properly and then go back to sleep as chores are hard work in my opinion. I sleep all night through in my donut bed, as I don't want to wake up everyone else in the house... my foster mummy says I have very good manners.
I would love a furever home with someone who is home a lot or a family with another friendly dog that I can play with as I grow. I'm an inside dog and my family will love to have me inside especially for sleeping as I'm simply too people focused to be outside. I love kids of all ages so I'd be happy to come live with you if you have kids for me to play with. I would also love to be included in your outdoor activities and trips so if you want to adopt a chilled out dude that you can take everywhere then I'm your man!
If you would like to meet me, please contact my foster mum Jo on 0427 695 104 or email jo.payne.aus@hotmail.com. I am in foster care near Gosford, NSW (Central Coast) and I am not available for adoption interstate.
My adoption fee is $450 and includes my desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and micro chipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
