About Boss (On Trial 27/1/15~ Staffordshire Bull Terrier
BOSS - 7 month old, male, Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Calling all Tradies! This little man is the missing thing in your toolbox. Loyal, playful and a true man's dog he is ready to lick your empty beer bottles, hoover scraps off the kitchen floor and give you an incentive to kick your feet up on the weekend for an afternoon snooze on the lounge.
Boss (Bossy Boots or Bossy Bear) is a unique coloured Staffy with a big staffy smile! He is in fantastic health and a bundle of licks and super friendly with everyone he meets. He is currently small to medium size but very strong. He is expected to be a medium size dog when fully grown. Whether it be people or dogs, Boss just wants to be friends with everyone. Since he is still young, he gets very excited easily so he can knock small children over.
Boss is still a puppy and is ready and eager to learn. He is very smart but has limited training, this will improve with ongoing positive reinforcement training and time in his new home. Once he settles into his new home and feels safe and loved and matures a little bit, he will be the perfect companion.
People are Boss’ absolute favourite things, especially men! He does tend to cry a little if he can see you but can’t be included in what you are doing, but like a toddler the out of site out of mind principal seems to work and he will sit quietly when alone. He currently lives with another foster dog and despite the other dog being three times Boss's size he is very good at “bossing” her around. He has lots of spunk about him! Although he would be fine to have a dog companion, the most important thing for Boss is to have plenty of time with his new owner or family. He loves a snuggle on the lounge and very much enjoys an outing in the car. But typical youngster, before too long we turn around to find him fast asleep.
Boss is almost completely white with just a few faint spots on his ears. Therefore, his new family have to be sun safe with him. He would ideally live inside or have access to a very shady outdoor area to prevent skin damage. No sun baking for this little guy! He has it all figured out, a bundle of energy but with the ability to also settle and lap up attention of anyone who will give him their undivided love. Although a rescue pooch he has no baggage from his past life, he is young, vibrant and ready to bring someone so much joy!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
