About Sapphire (On Trial 25/1/15) ~ blue cattle dog
What a gem! Sapphire is a blue cattle cross. She is 2 ½ years old, has a wonderful soft nature, is inquisitive and loves people.
Sapphire is good with other dogs and is well trained. She comes, sits and stays on command and has good manners. She is easy to take on the lead and really enjoys a walk. \ She will still need a little training when walking but she learns quickly as she is very intelligent. Sapphire is not a big dog.
Sapphire really likes a pat and is very affectionate. When she comes to you she smiles and waits for you to pat her. She then puts her nose under your hand and says some more, please. She would suit an active family with older children or an older person who likes a faithful companion and a daily walk.
She is house trained and rarely barks, only barking when someone comes to the door. She is quick to stop when asked.
What a gem!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
