About Sophie
Sophie is Purebred and 2.5 yrs of age. She has the sweetest nature and absolutely adores kids and other furry friends....including cats. Before coming into our care, Sophie lived with another doggie companion, 2 cats and children and enjoyed the company of all of them. She is now in foster care with 3 other dogs who have welcomed her happily into their home, and 3 children who she adores. She greets you with a smile and a wagging tail everytime you come home.
Sophie is very well behaved and a fast learner who will sit when told to, and when getting treats or her meals. She does respond to her name being called but will need some more work on her recall when out and about if she is offlead. Due to the fact Sophie has only been in foster care for a very short amount of time, we are yet to see how well she walks on lead. Given the fact she is such a relaxed, easy going young girl, I don’t think there will be any issues with that though.
Whilst Sophie is a very chilled girl, she loves to play and wrestle with her foster siblings and then will happily laze around in the sun for the afternoon. She is toilet trained and will use the doggie door to let herself outside when she needs to go. Sophie has been an absolute treasure to have in our home and everyone has fallen in love with her. Ideally, Sophie would be best suited to a home with another companion dog that she can spend her days with when her human family aren’t home. She sleeps inside with the family at night and is very much a part of the family.
Wally's like all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they feel part of the family. This is particularly so if they are to be an only dog.
Sophie is located on the Central Coast of NSW where she lives with her foster family.

When enquiring about Sophie, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
