About Pixie - (On Trial 30/1/15)
Pixie is a very sweet, tubby, 12yr old, Shih Tzu. She loves to be with you and plods along with her tail wagging. She is not an energetic dog nor is she a barker. She is just a gentle old lady who is looking for a quiet lay back home where she can relax and feel loved and cared for.
She gets on with anyone and everyone including the four legged variety. There is not too much to say about this gorgeous girl other than she deserves to live out the rest of her days with someone who loves her.
She is absolutely no trouble at all. Oh I forgot to mention that she needs a bit more time given to toilet training. I don't believe she was ever taught or she may have been an outside dog. But her good qualities and that cute little personality outweigh this small drawback.
If you think you can provide Pixie with a loving and secure home for the rest of her days please contact Lucyann via email at blackorchid7@hotmail.com.au
Pixie is in foster care in Dora Creek, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle).
Pixie 's adoption fee is only $100 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
