About Puppy Benji ~ Fox terrier x (On Trial 18/3/15)
Benji is a quiet, male, Foxy x puppy, only 9 weeks old. Benji is quiet, calm and appears to be relaxed in nature. He is not as adventurous as his siblings but still very sweet and loving and copes well with new things in his environment.
Benji was born in foster care on 23/12/14 in a loving, home environment. Benji's foster carer is very experienced with puppies and has devoted the greatest of care and to his development.
Benji has been very well socialised to friendly dogs, people, environments, textures and sounds to prepare him for his permanent home and to help him be a well balanced dog.
We want Benji to go to a home where he will be trained, cared for and loved for the rest of his life. \ He is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside.
Benji will grow up to be a small dog. You will need good fencing with no small gaps. Gates need to have locks on them to discourage dog thieves (sad but true). If he is to spend much time outside he'll need a kennel.
Benji will need to be taken to one of our approved vets to be desexed when he's 5 months old. Therefore, he is only available for adoption to the following areas: Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens, NSW.
For more information or to meet Benji, please send an email to his foster carer catherine.benge3@gmail.com. Benji is in Warners Bay, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle).
Benji's adoption fee is only $450 and includes his desexing, first two vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
