About Indigo (D2877)
Border Collie X.
On Indigo's first day with her carer, she didn’t think her day could possibly get any better when she jumped in the car to go for a spin. When she arrived at the beach she realised all her Christmases had come at once! The only thing that Indigo loves more than going for a ride in the car is going for a swim at the beach. She just LOVES water and playing in it. She’s also a big fan of baths so no smelly pooch here!!
When she first came to her carer she was a bit of a wild child, wouldn’t make eye contact, shied away from affection and scoffed her food for fear of not getting any more. After a few short weeks she’s become more and more affectionate and her cheeky side has come out. If you leave the bathroom door open when you’re having a shower she’ll stick her head into the shower to say ‘hi’. She now leaves food in the bowl if she is full. Just knowing she is in a loving, caring environment and trusting she'll be fed daily has made such a positive impact on Indigo. If this change has happened in the course of a few weeks imagine how amazing she is going to be with a permanent home.
She’s gentle with children and doesn’t jump up on them. She's very trainable and smart.
Indigo is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.

Indigo can be flown cheaply and easily to her new home thanks to our ongoing support from QANTAS Air Freight and the Toll Group. SAFE’s successful fostering program relies heavily on flying animals from remote areas to their new homes in other parts of WA and interstate. You can feel safe to adopt long distance because SAFE animals come with a “lifetime guarantee “. This means if they are not able to stay in your care for whatever reason, SAFE will always take them back, as we ensure that both humans and animals alike are happy with the match.
