About Rastus (On trial 18/1/15) ~ Papillon x Maltese
Rastus is a 4 and a half year old, male, Papillion x Maltese. He is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. He is good with children. He would love to have another dog for company in his forever home. He will need a daily walk as he is a young, active dog.
He has some basic training and will benefit from continued training such as going to dog class.
Rastus has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep him comfortable and beautiful.
For more information or to meet Rastus, please contact his foster carer Loraine on 02-4023-3085 (preferred) or 0411-489-220. Rastus is in foster care near Charlestown, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Rastus's adoption fee is only $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
