About Discovery - On Trial 28/1/15
Discovery is a cuddly and outgoing 8 week old Kelpie x Cattle Dog puppy. He is in foster care with his sister Fairy Floss and they love to play together all day. Discover is very friendly and confident – he loves to spend time with his human family especially children. He is in foster care with two young children and he loves running around the house with them. He would love to go to a family with kids or another doggy playmate. Discovery is playful and yet very snuggly when picked up for cuddles , he’s quite happy to snooze on your lap and is very affectionate.
Discovery is a little investigator and explorer – if there is something that needs to be sniffed out then Discovery will find it. He is curious about everything and wants to know what you are up to so that he can give his nod of approval, even if it’s just to make sure you are doing your household chores correctly.
Discovery has great recall and will always come running to you when you call his name. He loves his treats so he is very easy to train with rewards. He is great with his food – no fussy eater here!
Discovery is an inside puppy and needs to be allowed inside when his family is home – he must sleep inside at night even when he is older. Discovery has just started toilet training so his new family will need to have patience in taking him out to the toilet after naps, food, drinks or play time.
Discovery would best suit a furever home with another friendly playful dog or someone who is home a lot. Discovery is too social and young to be left alone for long periods of time. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training and socialisation.
Discovery’s sisters and brothers (there are 10 of them!) are also available for adoption.
For more information about the gorgeous Discovery, please contact Karen on 0447 669 402 or email karenwood@live.com.au . Discovery is in foster care near Morriset NSW (upper Central Coast) and is not available for adoption interstate. Discovery will be ready to go to his forever home on the 24th of January when he is 10 weeks old.
Discovery adoption fee is $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and micro chipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
