Possum

Possum is a beautiful, affectionate and placid 3 year old girl who would love nothing more than to spend the entire day following you around or snuggled on the couch.
She comes all the way from Adelaide after her trainer/owner surrendered her to us after a failed career as a racer.

Possum has settled really well into foster care and has stolen the hearts of everyone who has met her. She herself has a love for all things cuddly and soft, and is particularly fond of experimenting with new ways of getting goodies out of her many treat dispensing toys.

She looks forward to her two short walks each day and will happily jog with you in short bursts. Possum is really patient and gentle with everyone she comes across, including children.
Brilliantly house trained and has not had one toilet accident in the house ever since coming into our care. Possum will still need some obedience training but she is so well mannered that any training you do do with her will be purely to increase communication and not to correct any existing bad habits.

There isn't anything Possum wouldn't do for a bit of cheese or frozen berries!

Her coat has improved significantly from when we first met her and with regular brushing and a good diet will continue to become sleek and shiny. She has put on a bit of weight too since she has been in foster care but could continue to gain a little. Otherwise she is in perfect health and condition and has been looked after well. Possum can be afraid of loud noises and is in general a very soft and sensitive girl.

Possum is not cat friendly.

Possum really is a lamb and can be left alone for a reasonable amount of time. She has not shown any separation anxiety when left alone as long has she has some sort of long-lasting treat or treat dispensing toy to keep her company! She loves car rides too and will easily jump in and out of the car.
