About Sugar
Teeny tiny Sugar is as sweet as can be! She weighs only 2.1kg, although we'd like to see her gain some weight!
Sugar came into our care from the Warra Pound. She didn't cope in a shelter environment, everything was just a bit too big and scary for her. Thankfully, in foster care she is coming out of her shell and her sweet personality is shining through.
Sugar loves nothing more then being in your arms. She loves being cuddled, she loves being in your lap! We are looking for a home for her that will spoil her rotten and give her endless cuddles!
Sugar is great with other dogs and we would like to see her adopted to a home with a play mate. She is also very sweet and gentle with children, although due to her size she must be treated gently by kind, responsible children.

Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Moorooka or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant xrays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heart worm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please email chihuahuarescueqld@gmail.com for an Adoption Application. From there, we will be in contact with you within 48 hours to talk further about your application and if successful, to arrange a meet and greet.
Prior to adoption, all dogs will need to have a meet and greet with their family and a house check will be done. All adoptions are subject to a four week trial to ensure your new friend fits in well with your household.
We have many dogs that are in foster care and are not yet ready to be listed for a variety of reasons. If you have a good idea of what you are looking for in your new dog please email us at chihuahuarescueqld@gmail.com and let us help you match a dog to your needs.
