About Molly ~ Kelpie x Gsd senior (adopted 13/11/16)
Molly is a quiet and gentle 10yo female Kelpie x (possibly German Shepherd). She is happy to be with you or to sit and watch the world go by. She is on the larger size of medium. Don’t let her age fool you, she is still very lively and loves to go on walks and outings. She is currently in care with a 3yo Border Collie x and can keep up and outsmart him when playing. As the saying goes, "Brains before Youth". Molly has shown no interest in the resident cats, and adores being loved and attended to by her foster family’s children.
Molly is shy and wary of strangers and will try to avoid any new guests to the house. Once she knows who they are and that they are friendly she will come up for pats and lick their hands. Molly is so excited to get out for a walk that she sometimes forgets her manners and will take you for the walk for the first couple of minutes. But she remembers her manners quickly and is happy for you to walk her for the rest of the outing. Molly can sit and wait when asked. She is happy to sit and wait to be told to eat her meals.
Molly has been in the house without any accidents and likes being inside with people. She is ok to be outside so long as she gets plenty of time with her people each day and she'd love to have a canine friend.
Molly’s ideal fur-ever home would be with a family or someone who can spend time with her during the day. Another doggy friend who is submissive would be great if she is to be left alone, as she can sometimes get anxious about being left alone without her humans to protect her.
For more information or to meet Molly, please contact her foster carer Kathryn by phone 0414 449 740 or email: Kathryn.david.15@gmail.com. Molly is in foster care in Kotara, NSW (Newcastle).
Molly's adoption fee is only $100 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
