About Collie (On Trial 7/2/15) ~ dachshund x mini foxy
This beautiful girl is named Collie. She is a 7 year old dachshund x fox terrier. She is just gorgeous! She's very placid and loving. She is living with other small dogs and she enjoys chasing and wrestling with them. When she's done playing she will go to her favourite chair to relax. Despite her age she is still active and loves going for a walk and gets excited and jumps around when she sees her lead. She is only middle aged and still has half her life ahead to enjoy with her new family.
Collie is great with kids and cats. She is scared of larger dogs and will bark at first. She is housetrained and will sit when asked. She sleeps inside at night and comes in and out during the day. She loves food and isn't fussy. She enjoys trips to the beach and creek, she isn't frightened of the water and goes for a swim.
Collie would best suit a home with another small dog to play with as she loves company and an owner who's home to spend time with her and to take her for a walk.
For more information or to meet Collie please send an email to her carer, millydrn@hotmail.com Collie is in care near Charlestown NSW 2290 (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Collie's adoption fee is $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping and lifetime registration. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
