Cadmium - female, 10 weeks old, grey medium haired tabby
My name is Cadmium and I was living under a house with my feral family until I was trapped and brought to my foster carer. I am very confident with dogs and other cats but I am still wary of people because of my background.
I need a quiet household where the people are happy to let me come to them. I am very independent so I would prefer to be the first cat in the household. Once I realize that the people want to feed me and I have no-one else to play with, I will gain confidence and become more affectionate. Once that happens, I could accept another kitten being introduced. If there is already a cat in the household I will play with him/her and avoid people longer than necessary.
I love high places, and am happy to come out and watch the people in the house like a little guard. Within a week I am not scared of familiar people unless they reach for me. I often run away when that happens, but when I'm feeling bossy I will wave my paw at them to show my annoyance! After a couple of weeks of being fed and feeling safe I keep my claws retracted as I just want to tap the annoying hand rather than injure it.
I am a beautiful little ball of fluff who will remain loyal to the human lucky enough to win my trust. It is likely that I will always retreat from strangers and save my affection for my humans. I watch carefully and make eye contact; a sure sign that I am as intelligent as I am stubborn.
Do you have the patience to win my love?
