About Max ~ border collie ~ On Trial 24/3/15
Meet Max, purebred border collie, between 4 and 7 years old. He is such a gentleman. He never barks or jumps up, and he walks well on a lead. Max would suit a range of families as he has been around a lot of children and other pets. But he also likes just being at home alone with his foster mum.
Max was rescued from a pound so we're not sure of his age. We were told he is 4 but his calm temperament is that of an older dog. Perfect if you love the brains and beauty of a border collie but don't want the high energy of a younger dog.
Max likes to spend time inside just being close to his humans. He needs to be allowed inside when people are home. He also enjoys being outside watching the pocket pets run around their cage. He likes to snuggle up to our other foster dog, a 3 year old, female Staffy. He has been well behaved with other dogs that he has met. \ Max is fine with our cat. Like many dogs, he's not fond of thunderstorms. \
Everyone that has met Max thinks he is a beautiful boy and his new furever family will be very glad and proud that they adopted him.
If you have any questions about Max contact his foster mum Rachael by email connells3179@hotmail.com or phone 0410 575 264. Max is in foster care in Gorokan 2263 (Central Coast) and is available for adoption interstate.
Max's adoption fee is only $300 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
