About Dante ~ On Trial 15/1/15
Dante is a very friendly and gentle 1 year old mastiff x staff girl who absolutely adores children and people of all ages. Dante is medium sized – she comes to just below your knees. She loves other dogs and is currently in foster care with 5 dogs of various ages and sizes and she enjoys their company. Dante is cat friendly too, she used to live with a cat who she liked - she knows cats are boss and will walk away if told by the cat that play time is over!
Dante loves to play with children and she is very well mannered with them. She loves toys and is happy if left with some chew toys or a big bone to munch on. Dante is great at basic commands – she sits, stays, lays down, shakes paws and will fetch a ball. She will also sit and wait patiently for her dinner until given the OK to eat. She listens to commands from both adults and children.
Dante loves to go for a morning or evening walk with you. She also enjoys drives in the car, she's happy to ride shotgun if you travel a bit. If you are into outdoor adventures or activities then Dante would love to come along for the ride.
Being dog social, she would go very well in a home with a friendly play buddy. Dante isn't a barker, however she will let you know if someone arrives if you like. She is easily pleased with a consistent routine and love and affection from her family.
Dante would love a furever family who will allow her to be inside when they are at home. She will happily put on her best manners when in the house, so if you will let her sleep inside she will reward you with big snuggles.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
