About Poppy and Rogue (On Trial 16/1/15) ~ pair of pugs
Poppy and Rogue are 5 year old purebred Pugs looking for a home together. Poppy is a tan female, 6kgs, and Rogue is a black male, 9kgs. These friendly, easy going dogs will fit easily into any family. They have grown up together and are always side by side so need to be re-homed together.
Poppy and Rogue enjoy walks and are well behaved on the leash. If the water is warm enough they will go for a swim in still, shallow water. They are inside dogs and love following their foster mum around, especially when she is in the kitchen. They will keep your floor clean!
Barking is not an issue with them. You may here a cute snort from time to time though! Poppy and Rogue are great with children and love the attention. They enjoy meeting other dogs and are friendly with our other small dog.
Poppy and Rogue will come to your call and are able to sit and stay on their beds when inside. They are house trained. They need to be fed separately as Rogue is a quick eater and will push Poppy aside to have seconds.
Pugs are wonderful family dogs and everyone who meets Poppy and Rogue falls in love. Special care must be taken to ensure they don't overheat. So they can't be walked in hot weather and must be inside, preferably in air conditioning or at least a fan, on hot days. They are great little characters, sure to bring lots of fun to their lucky new family.

Poppy and Rogue's adoption fee is $800 for the pair. They are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
