About Arnie
If you want instant love from an adorable, charismatic companion, then Arnie is the dog for you! He is an absolute heart-melter who will attach himself to you very quickly. Looking into his deep, loving eyes will ensure you become quickly attached too!
Arnie is not just a big softie. He is an epic survivor! He endured 25 days stuck down a mine shaft and became a doggie celebrity. Check out his article in the Herald Sun!

Arnie is extremely good with people, children, dogs and cats. He is currently fostered in a household with two adults and a Staffy x Labrador, but has been fostered previously by a family with children aged 4 and 6.
Arnie's loves:
• To be part of a family that will spend lots of quality time with him, as he adores being around people and other dogs. He would not be very content being left at home for long periods on his own.
• To have regular cuddles on your lap. He is a bit of a hand and face licker, as he likes to show his love for you. If he has to sit down it will most likely be on your foot or touching you somehow because he just loves you so much.
• High energy play sessions. Being a Kelpie x Staffy he likes a good game of fetch or tug-of-war, in which he sometimes makes a playful growling sound like 'Predator' (Arnie Schwarzenegger film).
• Time in the water. He loves the beach, rivers and lakes, although he still needs time to become a confident swimmer.
Arnie's perfect home:
• Provision of recall training and a secure backyard as Arnie is a natural explorer. He is great on the lead, but you need to know and trust him before you can give him a free-run. Enclosed dog off-leash areas are perfect as he is very inquisitive and could easily go missing. He loves walks on the lead and often spins in circles as you are trying to put his lead on.
• A family with big hearts. Arnie is just full of pure love and needs someone who has the time and compassion to reciprocate it.
Quite simply, Arnie would be the perfect addition to any family who wants their dog to be a big part of their daily lives. We invite you to contact us to meet this very special dog as we would love for him to find his future forever home.
