About Zeus (On trial 17/1/15)~ Staffy 7 months
Zeus is a 7 month old Staffy x. He has an adorable brown patch on his eye and cute patches over his body. Zeus came into care and was a little cautious of his foster brother but now they love each other, playing all day together and sleeping at night together. Zeus has a lot of character and adores human company. He loves nothing more than to be next to you but is also fine outside with his brother.
Zeus sits for his food and waits until it is served. He does jump, however we are training him not to and with a little more training this should stop. So, until he learns to sit for greetings, he's not suited to children under 7 years old. He is fantastic around older children. He lived with a young girl for one month.
Zeus walks well on the lead however needs settling down when he sees another dog as he gets excited. He has not been exposed to cats so we don't know how he will react. He has been exposed to storms and fireworks without any problems.
Zeus will be fine as either an inside or outside dog, alone or with another dog. If he must be outside only then he must have another dog for company. His favourite games are wrestling with his foster brother and chewing on a bone.
Zeus is a charming young boy who is looking for the right family who will give him love and attention.
For more information or to meet Zeus, please contact his foster carer Lucy on 0432518578 or email lucymagann@hotmail.com. Zeus is in foster care in Mayfield NSW 2304, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Zeus's adoption fee is only $400 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
