About Ruby
Ruby is a very energetic, social and lively 4 month old Labrador cross puppy, who loves exploring the outdoors and playing games and wrestles with her foster sister. Ruby's energy means she will need a lot of time and attention, without it- she finds trouble very, very easily- be it in chewing things she shouldn't or getting into things she shouldn't! Ruby currently goes on daily walks for roughly 45mins to 1 hour - which seems enough to keep her contented, however she still has energy to play and tumble with toys and her foster sister. For this reason it is important that Ruby goes to a home with another dog, whom she can play and wrestle with. Moreover, Ruby's playfulness and confidence means she is best to avoid going in to a home with children under the age of 12. Ruby sees everyone as a potential playmate and therefore can often be too much for a child to be around. Ruby is above all extremely intelligent and food focused- she enjoys learning new things- she already has great recall and can sit, and is currently learning to stay and to walk properly on the lead. Ruby is full toilet trained and walks exceptionally well off leash. Ruby will need to continue and have ongoing training so that she can reach her full potential.
Ongoing training is recommended aswell as puppy preschool, Wyong Dog Training Club offers all adopted dogs thru Wally`s 5 free training lessons.
Wally's like all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they feel part of the family. This is particularly so if they are to be an only dog.
Ruby is located on the Central Coast of NSW where he lives with her foster family.
Ruby is available for adoption from the 5th of January 2015

When enquiring about Ruby, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog/pup may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
