About Gloria (On Trial 1/1/15)~ kelpie x, easy going
Gloria – Absolute sweetheart. This adorable girl is a Kelpie cross, approximately 5 years old. She is a very relaxed, quiet, easy-going girl who would make the most loving and loyal companion for someone who is on their own, or a couple or family. She would be happy to be an only dog or to have a doggie friend or two as long as they weren’t too boisterous. She would be fine if left alone while her owner works full time as long as she is given plenty of time with you when at home.
Her activity levels are low and she only requires a short 30 minute walk each day. She walks nicely on the lead, although with frequent stops to sniff here, there and everywhere. She currently sleeps inside at night on her own dog bed. She is housetrained and needs to be allowed inside each day. She rides well in the car and rarely barks.
Gloria is extremely intelligent and attentive. She comes immediately to a whistle and knows “ah-ah” and “sit” which she has learnt very quickly. She has lovely dinner manners and has learnt to sit for her dinner. She will be super easy to teach any tricks her new family would want her to know. She will work for food treats, pats or scratches - all she wants is to be a "good girl" and please you.
Gloria adores people of all ages and laps up any love and attention coming her way. We don’t have small children but she has been gentle and friendly with all visitors and people she has met on walks including children.
Gloria currently lives with another medium size, adult, female dog, a cat and two pocket pets. She has always been fine with the cat and pocket pets. She needed some time to feel comfortable around the other dog she is living with but they are now great mates. She is quite scared of any unknown dog. She is very reluctant to walk past any yard with a barking dog but will do so with a small amount of coaxing.
Gloria really is an "easy" dog who will adapt quickly to her new home and bring you lots of love and happiness.
For more information or to meet Gloria, please contact her foster carer Jane on 0403405018 or email \ jane.wilson@windowslive.com. Gloria is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
