About Niobium
Niobium - male, 12 weeks old, medium-long hair
My name is Niobium and I am a gorgeous, fluffy little black and white kitten with specific needs. I was born to a stray and trapped by my foster carer.
I took me over a fortnight to allow my foster carer to pat me without hissing with fear. My brothers were purring within two days so I am clearly the shyest of the litter.
I will need a family willing to be patient, preferably with a friendly, relaxed cat to set a good example. I will be terrified at first when I meet strangers so will need about a week to settle in and learn that humans = food. Friendly dogs are okay, as are children old enough to understand the 'don't pick me up' rule.
My foster carer was beginning to despair that I would never accept human touch when I finally gave a little purr while being patted. The key; roast chicken. I love chicken and will allow a person to hand-feed me after a few days of resisting the delicious smell. Once I realize that my new human wants to feed me but not pick me up the bond will develop.
I love to play with my brothers so if you are considering getting two kittens to keep each other company I know who to recommend. In a home with fewer noises and distractions I should settle in well. I might prefer to be the only cat in a household; it is hard to tell so far.
