Mr Harris

Mr Harris is a lovely mixed breed boy - nearly fully grown - he was surrendered to the pound when his owners moved overseas but he has obviously been loved and has some basic training. He is getting really good at walking on a lead - when he pulls he is quickly corrected and is good to walk off lead too. He LOVES other dogs and would be a great mate to another young dog. He loves water and to roll on his back on the ground and get super muddy/sandy whenever possible. \

He is a great fetcher and can sit, shake hands and drop on command. \ Mr Harris is going to make a wonderful doggy friend or family member and his behaviour will improve as he gets older and has more training. He is personality plus - has a gorgeous goofy smile and is a real character. He would love to be near the water so he can have a splash around and be walked every day and a fully fenced yard.
He is an excellent guard dog and has a good strong bark if someone is lurking around but doesn't bark for no reason. He is used to being an outside dog but would probably enjoy being inside outside.

He has been in care with a family with kids and would be suited to kids from 5 up, he loves being a ute dog and would suit a tradie. He can be cheeky and needs firm leadership and would suit an experienced dog owner. He can be anxious in new situations and needs a strong routine. Mr Harris passed with flying colours in a school to become a soldier therapy dog. Unfortunately Mr Harris wasn't comfortable with the constant unfamiliar grounds he was faced with daily. Only a small amount of dogs make it past this point. We were so proud to see Mr Harris home because it showed us just what a great companion Mr Harris will be to the lucky family that adopt him. He is loyal, smart, affectionate, friendly and with a submissive nature, he has stolen the hearts of many foster carers.
